Due to popular demand, the
Targeting Pain with Novel Therapeutics conference will be
held a second time in
June 2009 as part of CHI's World Pharmaceutical Congress.
Several pain
targets continue to be aggressively pursued in Pharma and Biotech,
where both small and large
molecule therapeutics are being explored.
This conference will continue to showcase progress on novel classes
on inhibitors targeting
vanilloid,
cannabinoid and purinergic receptors. Recent exploration
of FAAH, as well as sodium and calcium channels
such as Nav 1.7 and CAB 2.2 will be featured
extensively this year. Several panels will discuss challenges such
as improving pre-clinical models of pain and translation to the
clinic. Case studies will cover early discovery to
late-stage clinical stories.

give a talk or present a poster by sending in an abstract.
